#1 Wake up your complexion
If you've had a sleepless night, your morning cleanse is even more essential. Using circular movements, massage your face with your favourite cleanser, paying particular attention to sensitive zones like the eye contour and lips. A cleansing lotion will have a toning effect on skin and stimulate blood circulation. And a spritz of cold water will contract the blood vessels, reducing redness and puffiness.
#2 Moisturise your skin
After a sleepless night, skin needs hydrating. Drink at least 1.5 litres of water to remove toxins, and feed your skin with a good moisturiser. Gently massage your face from the inside out: your blood circulation will get a boost, your skin will plump up and your complexion will brighten.
#3 Get rid of under-eye bags
To banish those unsightly bags, take two dessert spoons and pop them in the freezer while you're cleansing. Then gently lay the curved sides on your eye sockets. After 2-3 minutes, your bags will be well and truly gone. Next, apply an eye cream to hydrate, followed by a light concealer to camouflage any stubborn dark shadows.
#4 Use a face mask
Packed with moisturisers and smoothing agents, a refreshing face mask will revitalise skin and give a rested look. Try one to smooth out your features and plump up the epidermis, giving you baby-soft skin in no time.
#5 Go easy on the make-up
Don't try to hide under layers of make-up. Opt for a BB tinted moisturiser, which will brighten the skin and even out tone. Add a hint of blusher for a peachy complexion and slick on some mascara for a fresh, wide-eyed look.
